  • Oh man... I feel you sold the Fox tailgate cover a little short! I happen to have exactly the same Ridgeline you have and do have the Fox tailgate cover and for some reason I see something weird in how you installed it, kind of short, mine looks way better, (seriously) the fox is flushed at the bottom left corner and even the straps are also moveable front and back as the Thule, mine fit higher and still strap the bikes in the lower tube. Bonus point Seth: I’m able to use like 80% of the back up camera. I think if you “roll forward” the cover to try to fit the straps on top and the fox at the bottom, then it will fit better, also the flap that cover the camera, flip it inside... I do not have biking or mtb related vids on my channel (yet), but let me know and I will send you a short one.

  • I love Seth advice on my bike budge hack! I got it working 23 out of 24 gear's but I think my 3x8 might have to be a 2x8 I got a microshift 46x12 8-speed cassette. In place of a 32×11 8 speed. To get the 3x to work in all 8 speed it took a hole ⛓️. Chain but it was too much chain in the smallest front gear and the 12t on the cassette. To get 99% to work I made the chain smaller and I can get every gear but the two big ring's. I want to go to a 2x most likely the 22x38 I believe it was then I have a 16 speed and I believe I can get all the gears too work. Now mind you I using this bike for some different things than just riding trails. And being 50 years old I need the little gears to do what I want to do. And I still like to go fast and burn it.

  • I like the chain tool master link combo. For newer riders, I believe in a pinch if you only have the chain tool and no mstr link, you can still eliminate the bad section and rejoin the chain to get you back to the trailhead. You wouldn't be able to use your largest cog in the back most likely, but it will work.

  • I actually worked for Thule for a couple summers and there are really 2 things I can say about the company: 1.) the products they make are very hit or miss. They either work as if a god had made them and will last for decade, or they are a ridiculously overpriced piece of crap. Make sure you read the reviews, especially with their bike racks (car or free standing). They are not a bike company by nature so some of the products they make are not designed by real bike enthusiasts so some of the products have unsolved issues that might not be apparent at first. 2.) It's actually pronounced as "Too-lee". The company is Swedish, so the "H" is pronounced as it is in the word "where" or "when".
